This Advice Centre provides free paralegal and legal advice to community members on a range of issues including abuse of women, consumer rights, HIV/AIDS, labour rights, social grants, maintenance, and domestic violence.
Services
- Free legal advice — paralegal assistance on protection orders, maintenance, divorce, labour disputes, social grants, and consumer rights.
- Counselling — short-term supportive counselling for individuals affected by domestic violence, abuse, and trauma.
- Awareness and education — community workshops on women's rights, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, and available legal remedies.
- Referral — connecting community members with social workers, legal aid clinics, SAPS, and other support services.
Who Can Access These Services
Any community member can visit the Advice Centre during operating hours for free legal guidance and support. No appointment is necessary.
