Lifeline offers free, confidential short-term and crisis counselling to individuals affected by trauma, abuse, domestic violence and emotional distress. Trained counsellors provide telephonic, face-to-face and couples counselling, with specialist support for rape survivors and victims of gender-based violence. LifeLine Mafikeng provides the full range of LifeLine services: 24/7 crisis telephone counselling via the national line (0861 322 322); walk-in individual counselling for survivors of domestic violence, GBV, trauma, grief, substance abuse, and mental health distress; a residential crisis house/safe shelter at Connaught Road for women and children in immediate danger; community education and outreach to schools, churches, and community organisations; and LifeLine's signature volunteer counsellor training programme, which builds community capacity for emotional support.
