About

The Rustenburg Transformation Centre (RTC) is a faith-based NPO in Rustenburg with a bold vision: to be the catalyst for positive transformation in the Rustenburg community — where empowered individuals and organisations collaborate to create a brighter, more inclusive future for all. Rather than running a single service, RTC operates as a platform — offering any individual, family, or business an entry point into community service through 11 distinct projects, each targeting a different dimension of community need.

Their model is explicitly collaborative: they do not try to do everything alone. Instead, they build partnerships and invite the community to get involved.

Their Projects — Relevant to Survivors and Families

Child Haven — Care for Vulnerable Children Child Haven is RTC's project for vulnerable children in the Rustenburg area — providing care, love, and support for children who have been neglected, abused, or are without adequate family care.

Re-Integration House — Pathway Back to Society The Re-Integration House supports individuals transitioning out of crisis — whether from addiction, homelessness, or other forms of social marginalisation — providing structured support and a pathway back into the community and the workforce.

Friends to Addicts — Addiction Recovery A dedicated addiction support project walking alongside people in recovery from substance abuse — a form of harm deeply entangled with GBV in many families. Friends to Addicts provides peer-based support and community for people rebuilding their lives.

Ever Be — Women's Support Ever Be is RTC's women's support project — providing a community of care and upliftment for women in the Rustenburg area, including those who have experienced vulnerability and hardship.

Caring Hands — Elderly Care Elderly residents — particularly elderly women — are among the most vulnerable community members in any South African town. Caring Hands provides care and support for the elderly in Rustenburg.

Ligkasteel Kindergarten — Early Childhood Development A kindergarten providing early childhood development for young children in the community — building foundations of safety, learning, and love from the earliest age.

LightLink — Youth Digital and Life Skills LightLink equips young people with digital and life skills — building the tools they need to participate in the modern economy and make informed choices about their lives.

School Ministry — Schools Engagement School ministry programmes reach learners in Rustenburg's schools with education, values formation, and personal growth support.

Royal Family Kids — Camp for Abused Children Royal Family Kids runs camps specifically for children who have been in the foster care or child protection system — providing a week of unconditional love, fun, and healing for children who have often experienced only rejection and neglect.

LAMAL Foundation and Short-Term Projects LAMAL Foundation and a rotating series of short-term projects complement the core RTC programme — broadening the reach and responsiveness of the centre.

RTC is based in Rustenburg. Email info@rustenburgtransformationcentre.co.za to connect with any of their 11 projects, volunteer, or donate.
