About This Welfare Office

This welfare office provides social protection services to the most vulnerable members of society through the delivery of social welfare services. The office serves all ages and handles a range of cases including family conflict, child protection, domestic violence, and poverty-related social challenges.

Services

  • Family counselling — individual and family counselling for domestic conflict, parenting challenges, and relationship difficulties.
  • Court preparation and support — assisting clients preparing for family court, maintenance cases, and protection order applications.
  • HIV support — counselling and referral for individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS.
  • Child protection — investigation and intervention in cases of child abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
