This welfare office provides social protection services to the most vulnerable members of society through the delivery of social welfare services. The office serves all ages and handles a range of cases including family conflict, child protection, domestic violence, and poverty-related social challenges.
Services
- Family counselling — individual and family counselling for domestic conflict, parenting challenges, and relationship difficulties.
- Court preparation and support — assisting clients preparing for family court, maintenance cases, and protection order applications.
- HIV support — counselling and referral for individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS.
- Child protection — investigation and intervention in cases of child abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
- Social grants assistance — helping community members apply for and access government social grants.
